Odile Streed is a marketing professor at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, USA where she has enjoyed teaching full time since 2004. A former marketing and international business practitioner, Odile Streed brings strong expertise in marketing research, marketing strategy, data analysis, product management and international market entry. Odile Streed has over 12 years of experience as a country manager and a global product manager in the high technology sector including 3 years at Microsoft. During these twelve years Odile Streed developed market entry strategies, product localization plans and global distribution recommendations for various product lines. Odile Streed is currently teaching courses in the fields of marketing research, consumer behavior and retail management at Concordia College and follows the following academic conferences: DSI, EMNET, ISoF, Academy of Marketing Science, Marketing Trends and American Marketing Association. She is also the director for international business programs at the Offutt School of Business. Along with the international business committee at Concordia, she helps prepare students academically for spending a semester abroad in partner universities. She is also listed as a visiting professor in one of these universities, the Institut de Gestion de Rennes in France. Odile Streed is serving or has served in several boards including most recently the FM Opera and Churches United for the Homeless. She also regularly volunteers at Eventide, a retirement community. She is also passionate about promoting sustainability, healthy nutrition and for helping small, local businesses. A strong advocate for social justice for minorities and new immigrants, she frequently speaks about cross-cultural communication issues and the interconnections. She lives in Fargo, ND with her husband Stephen, an artist and a Lutheran minister, and their two dogs, Tessa the lively German Shorthair and Joy the playful yellow lab. Both dogs are an inspiration for non-conditional love and acceptance.
